Christmas and New Year at the Trust

Happy New Year to you all!

Christmas and New Year can be a difficult time for our residents so we try to keep them entertained through the festive period.  We put on over 20 activities over the three week period and many of our residents took part in these and had the following to say about some of them!

12th Dec – Christmas Party for Mums and Babies – “I loved meeting some of the other mums and babies, thank you” – Amanda

17th Dec – Cooking Spag bol – “It was fun, we all got on well making a chore into something more enjoyable” – Adam

18th Dec – Christmas Baking – “I learnt how to make pastry!” – Joe

19th Dec – House Meeting – “It was really good, I enjoyed planning this event” – Jamie-Leigh

20th Dec – Christmas Decoration Competition – This was a competition to see who could turn their homes into a grotto.  We gave out three prizes of £10 Wilkos vouchers to the winners who were Jamie-Leigh, and two others.

24th Dec – Brunch and Film – “Food was good and the quiz was challenging” – Adam

29th Dec – Sunday Brunch – “Very good food, really nice to see everyone” – Katie

29th Dec – Games Night (Twister) – “Really funny, didn’t know I could bend that way!” – Laura

31st Dec – Games and Countdown to New Year – “I got raided by Sue, Rach and Carl to do the countdown and watch fireworks.  Good fun, thanks” – Luke                “Good Laugh” – Zak

1st Jan – Films and Lunch – “Both films were good and will do it again” – Robert    “Good fun and great company” – Jemma

Many more activities took place over the festive period with great input from the residents and made the few weeks fun, enabling to residents to socialise and enjoy what can sometimes be a hard time for them.  We are grateful for the funding we get to be able to do such activities 🙂  Take a look at our gallery and some of the pictures we have taken of our activities.
